Thank you for a successful DFSG 2026
DFSG 2026 has come to an end following three days of scientific exchange, discussion, and networking in Florence.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the meeting, including our speakers, chairs, sponsors, exhibitors, and participants. Their contributions helped create a programme covering a broad range of topics in diabetic foot research and clinical practice, while providing valuable opportunities to share new research, exchange knowledge, and discuss developments within the field.
For those who were unable to join us in Florence, we hope you will continue to follow DFSG activities and developments through the DFSG website.
The next DFSG meeting
There will be no DFSG meeting in 2027, as the diabetic foot community will come together at the ISDF in The Hague.
DFSG will return in 2028, and we look forward to continuing the exchange of knowledge and welcoming the diabetic foot community back for the next DFSG meeting.

ABOUT
DFSG
The aim of the Diabetic Foot Study Group (DFSG) is to promote an advancement of knowledge on all aspects of diabetic foot care. This is done through active co-operation and collaboration between endocrinologists, diabetologists, podiatrists, specialist nurses, orthopaedic and vascular surgeons and other specialists with an interest in caring for diabetic patients with foot problems.
DFSG acts as a reference group for EASD in matters related to diabetic foot.
Previous meetings have gathered around 300 participants. A majority of these are members of the Diabetic Foot Study Group. Usually, 50-60 % of the participants are physicians, representing most centres of excellence working within the area of diabetes in Europe. Even a number of centres from the USA, India, Russia and Australia are represented.
Traditionally, the conference is held in connection with the much larger conferences of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD). Consequently, the impact of the DFSG reaches far beyond the DFSG participants, as their recommendations influence all interested in the area of diabetes through the following EASD meeting.
This meeting gathers up to 18,000 specialists.
The DFSG 2025 Meeting has received CVS-ethical approval from MedTech Europe, confirming its compliance with the ethical standards and transparency requirements set for industry-supported medical education events.
